Jon Jones has rewatched his main event of UFC 247 with Dominick Reyes, and, perhaps unsurprisingly, feels he did enough to retain his world title.

Jones and Reyes went back and forth over the course of five rounds, with the judges all scoring the bout in Jones’ favour. The decision drew ire from plenty of the mixed martial arts world, with names like UFC president Dana White even stating they had felt Reyes earned the victory.

For Jones, who met with his coaches tonight in Albuquerque, a second viewing of the contest only reaffirmed his immediate post-fight comments that he was the rightful winner of the contest, and the rightful owner of the light heavyweight championship.

“Just finished re-watching UFC 247 with the coaches, we are confident in our victory. #AndStill #EarnedNotGiven,” Jones posted onto his Instagram Monday night.

What comes next for Jones is uncertain, but the champion has options. As always, talk of a move to heavyweight surrounds him, along with the ideas of an immediate rematch with Reyes or a Summer bout with the winner of this weekend’s Corey Anderson vs. Jan Blachowicz.
