Jon Jones appears to be tiring of Chuck Liddell’s interest in him.

Earlier this week, after Liddell announced his intention to return to fighting after eight years on the sidelines — and while doing so revealed his desire to fight Jones in the cage — the two former champions began exchanging words on social media.

First, Jones offered to pay for Liddell to take a trip to Albuquerque and settle the score, while deriding Liddell’s age and chances, comparing him to Ric Flair and George Foreman. Then, in response, Liddell said Jones could do with learning “from a true legend and champion on how to really fight and conduct your life inside and outside the ring.”

Apparently, Liddell’s suggestion didn’t sit well with Jones.

Jones took to his social media this morning to once again fire off at the UFC Hall of Famer, pointing to Liddell’s record prior to retiring, as well as alluding to some rjLiddell behaviour outside of the cage.

“Brother I don’t have to be retired to be a legend first of all,” Jones wrote. “And you talking to me about conducting my life outside the cage is just hysterical. Chuck we all know you’re far from innocent.”
