The UFC’s return to England’s capital city is beginning to take shape.

Following last year’s event inside The O2 Arena which saw Michael Bisping outpoint Anderson Silva in the main event in a fight which would ultimately propel the Manchester fighter towards the championship title that had eluded him up until that point, the UFC will be hoping to capture that element of lightning in a bottle once again.

Details on the eventual headliners of the event are scant at the moment but, as reported on FloCombat, a booking between hometown slugger Jimi Manuwa (pictured above) and the ninth ranked light heavyweight fighter in the world has been set for the event to take place on March 18th.

Manuwa (16-2) earned a decisive knockout victory over Ovince St. Preux in Manchester last October, a victory which got him back in the win column after becoming the latest in a long line Anthony Johnson’s knockout victims in the 205-pound fold.

Anderson, meanwhile, dropped a split decision to Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua at UFC 198 in May but got back on track with a one-sided rout of Sean O’Connell last month.

We will bring you more information and card updates from UFC London as soon as it becomes available.
