The Jimmy Show is coming to back to the Irish capital.

James Gallagher will make his return to the 3 Arena in Dublin on September 23 next when he takes on the 18-3 Welshman Brett Johns in a featured bantamweight bout, per reports. This will be Gallagher’s first fight since suffering defeat in the same building to Patchy Mix last year, and after he was forced to withdraw through injury from the ongoing Bellator bantamweight grand prix.

Bellator officials are expected to confirm the bout in the coming days.

Johns, 30, will be fighting in his third Bellator contest after losing his debut to Danny Sabatello and winning his last fight, which was in Dublin, against Khurshed Kakhorov. Prior to that Johns had an extensive run in the UFC where he went 5-2, losing only to Aljamain Sterling and Pedro Munhoz.

The addition of Gallagher, who is a significant crowd favourite in Dublin, adds more ballast to a card which also features a bout between Peter Queally and former UFC champion Benson Henderson as well as a high profile showdown between veterans Yoel Romero and Melvin Manhoef.
