SBG’s Lee Hammond, whose spectacular submission finish on Monday at the IMMAF World Championships went viral online, has progressed to Day 3 of the amateur tournament, earning another submission win in the process.

Hammond’s initial win, an omolpata and head & arm choke combo, was a spectacular one and the Irishman followed that up on Tuesday with another another submission as he finished Sweden’s Mario Markus by rear-naked choke 1:38 into the first round.

He will now progress to Day 3 of the international tournament, in which he is representing Team Ireland in the lightweight division.
