Henry Cejudo has reaffirmed his intention of retiring from the sport of mixed martial arts.
Earlier today, reports emerged that the UFC bantamweight title had been vacated by Cejudo as the champion got set to leave the sport. Shortly after, the now-former champion confirmed the news with a brief post to his social media.
“Thank you for the awesome experiences uncle Dana [White],” Cejudo wrote. “I will forever be grateful. Thank you for taking a chance on the sport that people thought would never make it. To all my coaches and fans it been a wonderful ride. Triple C is out 🎤 #retiredontop”

Should it truly be the end for Cejudo, it will be one of the most impressive endings for an active fighter.
He leaves the sport having won a bantamweight and flyweight championship, and is one of four men to hold two titles in two weight divisions at once.
