‘Valhalla’ is on the comeback.

Emil Meek (9-3), the Norwegian fighter who exploded into the UFC ranks with a win against the always tough Jordan Mein in his debut to follow up on a 45-second TKO win against Rousimar Palhares in Italy before that, has his next opponent in the organisation’s welterweight division.

Meek will face  32-year-old Pole Bartosz Fabinkski (13-2) at UFC Hamburg on July 22 next and will be looking to rebound from a unanimous decision defeat against title contender Kamaru Usman in his sophomore UFC outing. Fabinski, meanwhile, hasn’t competed in the UFC since November 2015 owing to a series of injury setbacks. His two UFC outings thus far have resulted in decision victories against Hector Urbina and Gareth McLellan.

UFC Hamburg will take place from the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany, on July 22nd and is scheduled to be headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and Volkan Oezdemir.
