Darren Till says he is willing and able to meet Jared Cannonier at UFC 248 in March, so long as the UFC and his team can come to a deal.
The welterweight turned middleweight has been linked with Cannonier after Robert Whittaker was forced out of UFC 248 due to personal reasons. While UFC president Dana White mentioned at the UFC 246 post-fight press conference that Till is currently dealing with an ankle injury, Till himself says he can still make fight night.
“When I heard Rob was injured I was already working hard in the gym,” Till said, speaking to UK reporter Jim Edwards. So we upped a bit knowing I could get the call for March 7. I’ve had a few little niggles, as always, but I’m still willing and able. My management haven’t got the right deal yet, but I’m hopeful we can still make it happen. Mark my words, I’m scared of no one.”

Should Till get booked against Cannonier, it will be his second fight at middleweight. He was most recently seen defeating Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 244 in New York.
