For the past year, Daniel Cormier has said he’s retiring in March at the age of forty. No ifs, buts, or maybes, he’s done. And, up until now, UFC president Dana White has appeared supportive of the decision, even telling media post-fight at UFC 230 that if someone begins discussing retirement, they should definitely walk away.

But as the date nears, it seems the UFC boss is having more plans enter his mind for the UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion, particularly with the return of Cormier’s nemesis Jon Jones.

“I’d obviously like to see Jones and Cormier fight again at heavyweight,” White said, speaking with TMZ Sports. “But right now, Cormier’s team wants him to retire now. They want him to retire right now. I hope we can get 3 more fights out of him.”
