Conor McGregor says he’s happy to meet Dustin Poirier in the middle of the Octagon — if Poirier holds up to his end of the bargain.

McGregor and Poirier are set to battle for a third time on July 10, with the trilogy between them being one of the most anticipated contests of the year. With both men owning a victory over the other, fight number three is for all the marbles, and already individual interbout challenges are being laid out.

Earlier today, Poirier promised to meet McGregor in the middle of the cage come fight night, writing on his social media, “I never slack, I’ll meet you in the middle of the octagon July 10th.”

It didn’t take McGregor long to respond, as the Irishman replied with, “Good to hear Dustin, I hope so. As last time you backed up and shot inside the first 30 seconds. I’ll be in the middle from the very go if you want it. You know that. I’ll be ready for the tactics this time too tho. See you in there.”
