For the second time in a little over two months Bellator MMA and BAMMA are holding a co-promoted event in Ireland, this time around from inside the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

In the main event of the Bellator portion of the card, former light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary takes on the challenge of UK MMA veteran Brett McDermott who fills in for both Chris Fields and Vladimir Filipovic, both of whom were struck off the card for medical and visa reasons respectively.

All eyes inside the arena will be on SBG Ireland’s James Gallagher. The 20-year-old Strabane native will look to extend his unbeaten career record opposite Israel’s Kirill Medvedovsky. Gallagher’s SBG teammate Sinead ‘KO’ Kavanagh takes on Iony Razafiarison in the Bellator women’s bantamweight division.

Alex Lohore vs. Colin ‘Freakshow’ Fletcher and James McErlean vs. Shay Walsh makes up the rest of the card.

As for BAMMA 28, the headliner features a match-up between two of Ireland’s UFC veterans as Norman Parke and Paul Redmond square off in a lightweight clash. A win will claim the BAMMA lightweight title for Redmond, though due to missing weight by 0.8 pounds on Thursday only Redmond remains eligible to claim the title.

Elsewhere, BAMMA championships will be decided in the clashes between Andy Young vs. Dominique Wooding and Damien Lapilus against Ronnie Mann.
