Brendan Schaub has one of the more interesting resumés of anyone who has stepped into a UFC cage.

The Colorado native parlayed a stint in the National Football League to a career in mixed martial arts, where he earned wins against the likes of Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ Filipovic, Matt Mitrione and Gabriel Gonzaga, but has latterly become known as one of the most prominent voices in the field of podcasting, comedy, fight punditry and, most recently, a part of Showtime’s coverage of this month’s bout between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.

Last weekend Schaub began a five show stint on the final leg of a stand up comedy tour which saw him perform several dates throughout the UK and Ireland in Dublin’s Sugar Club and TheMacLife.com reporter John Balfe caught up with the former UFC heavyweight to pick his brain on the upcoming ‘billion dollar fight’, his own career and all points in between.
