Grappling ace Dillon Danis will face longtime rival Garry Tonon at Polaris 5 next August in London, it has been confirmed.
Danis, a training partner of UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor, will be looking to rebound from the tightly-contested defeat he suffered to Jake Shields last weekend in the main event of Submission Underground 4 when he faces Tonon in the highly anticipated grudge match.
Both Danis and Tonon are considered to be among the elite grapplers currently competing on the submission circuit and their rematch has been brewing ever since Tonon defeated Danis via inside heel hook at the ADCC championships in 2015. Since then, both men have maintained a rivalry on social media.

Following that match in 2015, Danis has emerged as one of the biggest stars in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has promised to get his “sweet sweet revenge” at the August 19th event.
Elsewhere on the card Jake Shields will face off with Dan Strauss, while UFC veterans Brad Pickett and Phil Harris will also compete against one another.
