Another title fight has been added to the UFC’s return to New York City.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk will defend her strawweight title against Rose Namajunas at UFC 217 in Madison Square Garden. Like last year’s event in the same arena, UFC 217 will showcase three title fights on the main card with Michael Bisping vs. Georges St-Pierre and Cody Garbrandt vs. T.J. Dillashaw both already booked atop the card.

Jedrzejczyk defeated fellow Pole Karolina Kowalkiewicz on last November’s Madison Square Garden card, the UFC’s first event in New York City since mixed martial arts’ legalisation some months prior.

The Polish champion has fought once since, defeating Jessica Andrade at UFC 211 in Dallas.

Namajunas, meanwhile, comes into the championship bout having put together a 2-1 run in her last three fights. Her most recent win, a two-round demolition of Michelle Waterson last April, served n0tice that she was one of the prime candidates for a shot at Jedrzejczyk.

UFC 217 takes place on November 5th at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
