Now Tyson Fury has moved on from a third fight with Deontay Wilder to pursue a return bout on December 5, the mindset immediately switches as to who’s next.

According to Fury’s promoter Bob Arum, there are already names being discussed, and they’re all ranked opponents. Speaking to iFLTV, Arum confirmed Oscar Rivas, Efe Ajagba and Agit Kabayel have already been mooted as possible names to meet The Gypsy King in his return to the UK.

“Yeah, those are the names. It’s not rocket science,” Arum said. “Go to the 15 names on the WBC list, 10 of them are not available because they are scheduled to fight within the next month or the next two months, they’re not available.

[Daniel] Dubois is there, [Joe] Joyce is there, but they’re not available. [Dereck] Chisora is there, [Oleksandr] Usyk is there — they’re not available. Dillian Whyte is there, but he has a fight coming up. And [Joseph] Parker is there, and he’s fighting [Junior] Fa who I think is also there, so you end up with five guys who are possible.

“There’s Efe Agbaja, Agit Kabayel, Rivas is there and there are two others that are there. We will have pick out, see who is available and pick it out. I mean, Rivas and Efe are Top Rank fighters and I’m sure we could arrange for them to be available if that’s who was chosen.

“I’ve got to talk to Frank [Warren] and to Tyson.”
