Dmitry Bivol will get his opportunity at revenge early next year.

Bivol, considered by many to be among the finest boxers of his generation, lost his undefeated record along with his WBA (Super) and IBO light-heavyweight titles in an October majority decision defeat to the still-unbeaten Artur Beterbiev in Riyadh — and now the pair will return to Saudi Arabia for a high stakes rematch to contest the undisputed light-heavyweight championship, it has been confirmed by the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh.

The card will also see IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois — who defeated Anthony Joshua earlier this year — defending against the resurgent Joseph Parker.

Elsewhere, the event will also feature the 22-0 American Shakur Stevenson defending his WBC lightweight championship against the 22-year-old 18-0 challenger Floyd Schofield.

The event, which has been dubbed ‘The Last Crescendo,’ will take place in Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena on February 22 and is the latest in a long-line of high profile boxing and mixed martial arts events to have been held by the Saudi Arabian state as it seeks to solidify its status as one of the homes of global combat sports.
