Anthony Joshua’s world title defence against Kubrat Pulev has been postponed.
Joshua was set to defend his recently reclaimed IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles against the contender on Saturday, June 20 at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London.
In a press release from Matchroom Boxing, Joshua and Pulev’s teams are now looking for a new date for the clash to take place.
“A new date for the event promoted by Matchroom Boxing and 258 Management in association with Top Rank and Epic Sports Entertainment is currently being worked on. We will announce any updates in due course and continue to explore the possibility of hosting this fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium,” read the statement.
Really, it’s just another example of a sporting event postponed by the coronavirus pandemic, which has also seen Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder’s third bout being rescheduled from July to later this year as well.
