Ronda Rousey is officially an active member of the WWE roster.
Tonight in Las Vegas — in the same arena she last appeared as a UFC fighter, the former UFC bantamweight champion appeared in an in ring segment to sign her WWE contract. It was her first appearance since making her debut at the Royal Rumble last month.
She appeared alongside authority figures Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Kurt Angle and spoke to the fans in a short promo. Visibly moved by the occasion, Rousey states that she wanted to both earn her respect from the WWE fans in the ring, and to do her hero, Roddy Piper, proud.
During the segment, Rousey slammed Triple H through a table, before being slapped by McMahon and then signing her contract.
Rousey will now star at the upcoming WrestleMania event in six weeks time, and will likely face Stephanie McMahon and Triple H in some form of contest.
