There’s a little extra spice sprinkled on Bellator’s return to Dublin on Saturday night.
The two men involved in the main event, middleweight champion Johnny Eblen and contender Fabian Edwards, were separated by security during a tense staredown in Friday afternoon’s ceremonial weigh-ins after, which took place soon after both men had registered championship weight ahead of their contest.
Both men have been in confident form all week in Dublin as Eblen looks to confirm his status as the world’s best middleweight fighter in any global promotion against Edwards, the brother of UFC champion Leon Edwards — with both brothers speaking of their excitement of raising along mixed martial arts world titles in Birmingham, England.
