Despite recently opening the door to a move to lightweight, Max Holloway still has unfinished business at 145-pounds.
The Hawaiian, who was so impressive in his recent win against Arnold Allen, will take on the Korean Zombie, Chan Sung Jung, in the UFC’s latest card in Singapore on August 26, according to a bout announcement video from Dana White. The two veteran featherweights have — somehow — not faced each other yet in their UFC tenures, but that will change late summer.
Holloway enters the fight having posted a 3-1 clip in his past four fights, with his only defeat coming against reigning champion Alexander Volkanovski in what was his third loss in succession to the Australian champion.
Zombie, meanwhile, was also defeated in a world title bout in his last outing against Volkanovski but has scored wins against Dan Ige, Frankie Edgar and Renato Moicano in recent outings, while also dropping a decision against Brian Ortega.
Elsewhere, UFC officials also confirmed that Cory Sandhagen will fight the unbeaten Umar Nurmagomedov in Nashville, Tennessee on August 5, while the UFC will also return to Paris, France on September 2 where hometown favourite Ciyrl Gane will clash with Serhei Spivac in the headline fight.
