The latest entry into the UFC’s sequence of events on ‘Fight Island’ in Abu Dhabi is a go after every fighter on the 13-fight card successfully made weight on Friday afternoon.
The two men in the event’s headliner, Marlos Moraes and Cory Sandhagen, both hit the scales at the non-title bantamweight limit of 136-pounds, while both Edson Barboza and Makwan Amirkhani were also within the featherweight limit ahead of their co-main event scrap.
Perhaps the most memorable moment from an otherwise drama-absent weigh-in came from Brazilian fighter Markus Perez, who once again donned Heath Ledger’s ‘Joker’ make-up in advance of his face-off with the highly-rated South African debutant Dricus du Plessis.
