Darren Till wants to fight on March 7 against Jared Cannonier at UFC 248. He says he’s accepted an offer from the UFC to do so. So far, so good.
The unfortunate thing, it seems, is that Till is having visa issues ahead of a return to fighting in the United States. A problem that echoes his last-minute arrival in New York ahead of his fight with Kelvin Gastelum last year.
To solve the issue, the Liverpudlian is using social media as a tool, and going right to the top, Donald Trump.
First on Twitter — famously one of Trump’s preferred method of communication — Till posted a short but simple message to the president, writing, “[Trump] Do me the favour of getting my visa for UFC 248 so I can fight, please. Surely you can pull some strings!”

Just in case that particularly pitch didn’t land, Till also went to Instagram to try his hand there, this time specifying it was all so he could fight Cannonier in the Octagon.
