Last night, Deontay Wilder knocked out Dominic Breazeale in as emphatic a showing as heavyweight boxing can offer.
It took just one round for the WBC champion to defend his title, landing a spectacular right hand that left Breazeale on the canvas for the ten count. And, as Wilder’s performance does nothing but raise anticipation for a clash with other big named boxers such as Anthony Joshua, former (and probably future) opponent Tyson Fury was quick to offer his own praise.
In a sense.
“I’d just like to say well one to Deontay Wilder in knocking out Dominic Breazeale, I got that prediction quite correct,” Fury said on his socail media. “Anyone who wants to go toe-to-toe with Deontay Wilder will have the same fate as Breazeale and his other 40 victims. Anthony Joshua, you’ll get it as well, same thing will happen to you mush. Dillian Whyte, you’ll get it as well.
“The Bronze Bomber is the most fearsome, most destructive puncher in the division.. It’s just a pity that he had to lose to the Gypsy King. Anyone who stands in front of Deontay Wilder will get knocked out.
“Wilder is the second baddest man on the planet behind the Gypsy King, the number one heavyweight in the world. Nobody can beat me, I can’t be touched. Boom.”
