Just a few hours ago, Khabib Nurmagomedov published a public letter to UFC president Dana White in which he said should the UFC release his friend and teammate Zubaira Tukhugov for his involvement in the UFC 229 brawl, Nurmagomedov himself would walk away, Nate Diaz has added himself into the mix.
Apparently bored on the sidelines, Diaz took to social media to tell White not to release Tukhugov… but instead release Diaz himself.
@danawhite please let kabobs dumbass friend stay in @ufc
Fire me it will be bettter this way.
I think it’s more fair that way …— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) October 11, 2018
“@danawhite please let kabobs dumbass friend stay in @ufc,” Diaz wrote. “Fire me it will be bettter this way. I think it’s more fair that way…”
Diaz hasn’t competed in MMA for two years, since losing to Conor McGregor at UFC 202. He was set to fight Dustin Poirier at UFC 230, only for Poirier to be ruled out with injury earlier this week. Diaz was subsequently removed from the event.
