After landing a huge right hand in the main event of Fight Nights Global 87, Peter Queally both walked away victorious over David Khachatryan, and handed his opponent his first career loss by stoppage.

The pair met at the KSK Express in Rostov-on-Don, Russia — where it’s safe to say fans were a little aggrieved at Queally’s win, based on the trash and insults hurled at the cage following the stoppage. That said, Queally dropped Khachatryan twice in the fight, using his reach and range to land well in the striking. Towards the end of the first, Queally landed a beautiful right hand, flooring Khachatryan and a couple of heavy follow up strikes sealed the deal.

Queally’s record now stands at 11-4-1, and the win puts the memories of a draw with Kuat Khamitov in November behind him.

As for the Russian fan’s angry showing, Queally showed no signs of intimidation after the bout, taking to his social media and proclaiming “you’ll never beat the Irish.”
