Charlie Ward has another crack at the UFC roster.
The SBG man is scheduled to appear at UFC Scotland in an attempt to re-affirm his mark on the UFC’s middleweight division.
While Ward came away from his UFC debut with a loss, he is looking to both rebound and impress the UFC brass with his ‘all or nothing’ style — particularly after his last bout, in which Ward felt he didn’t leave every thing he had to offer in the Octagon.
Ward’s a brawler, and Scotland is the perfect place to prove his worth to the promotion. UFC Scotland takes place in Glasgow on Sunday, July 16 at The SSE Hydro. Tickets are set to go on general sale on Friday, June 2.
As if he needed any encouragement, his training partner and UFC champion Conor McGregor shared some thoughts on his social media.
“I am happy to announce that Charlie Ward will have his redemption fight on the UFC Scotland card,” McGregor posted. “It is hard work and focus from here on in for him. He must not only win here. He must dominate. I am confident he will make things right and show his true fighting capabilities.”
