Paddy Pimblett has no time for Colby Covington.

Soon after the Liverpool man’s biggest win in the UFC to date over Michael Chandler at last weekend’s UFC 314 from Miami, Florida, video footage quickly filtered out of a backstage bickering match between Pimblett and welterweight loudmouth Covington, who remains without a fight booking after suffering his fourth loss in his past six when he was stopped by Joaquin Buckley late last year.

And amid what appeared to be a stunt to possibly gain traction for a bout with Pimblett in future, the former Cage Warriors champion said that he has got bigger ambitions in the cage than the American wrestler.

“He only does something when there’s a camera about,” Pimblett told the media, including The Mac Life, in his post-fight presser.

“I’ve seen him at Power Slap the other week and walked past him staring at him and he looked at the floor like that. Now, he knows there’s a camera about. He walked past, so I just said, ‘Lad, I’ll come and slap you, but you’ll go and ring the police on me like you did with Masvidal, you little grass.’”

“He pays supermodels to stand with him, the f*cking bum,” he added. “He’s a nobody. He’s on a three-fight losing streak or something, he’s irrelevant. He’s trying to use me now to stay relevant because he’s a nobody, he’s a bum. I’d beat Colby Covington for a laugh, but I’ve got bigger fish to fry than that little mushroom.”
