Deiveson Figueiredo has designs on joining that very short list of fighters to have won world titles in two UFC weight divisions.

The Brazilian former flyweight champion continues his assault on the UFC’s 135-pound fold this weekend in Macau, China where he will take on the former bantamweight pacesetter Petr Yan in what is expected to be a firefight for as long as it lasts.

Figueiredo enters the as perfect 3-0 in his new division after moving up following a four-fight series against Brandon Moreno which saw him win one, lost two and draw another one of their historic 125-pound rivalry. In his new home, though, Figueiredo has already set out his stall, earning wins over Rob Font, Cody Garbrandt and in August, Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera.

And ahead of the next pivotal step in his career in the UFC’s latest event in China, you can remind yourself of that ‘Chito’ Vera performance in the video below.
