Even at 41, there’s no keeping Cub Swanson down.

The veteran featherweight scored his 30th career win at last weekend’s UFC event in Tampa, Florida where he found a third-round knockout of the tough Billy Quarantillo in what was a tremendously exciting back and forth scrap.

The performance harked back to some of Swanson’s vintage performances in the Octagon that earned him his reputation as a blood n’ guts fighter — a persona which was perhaps most evident in his classic December 2016 win over South Korean fighter Doo Hoo Choi; a bout which earned Fight of the Year honours.
