Carlos Prates doesn’t get paid by the hour.

Over the course of his past ten fights, no man has had an answer for the the Brazilian slugger. In fact, no man has even made it into the third round with him.

On Saturday night in Kansas City, Ireland’s Ian Machado Garry will seek to flip the script and become the first fighter in the UFC to defeat the 31-year-old, who has earned performance bonuses in each of his past four contests. The winner, one suspects, will make a beeline towards the summit of the 170-pound division, with the loser dropping a few rungs on the contendership ladder.

And as you can see by the evidence below, Prates presents a serious challenge to the Garry as he seeks to rebound from the first loss of his professional career in December against Shavkat Rakhmonov.
