Volk is back in the division he has lorded over for the best part of five years. 

After a pair of unsuccessful attempts at seizing the UFC lightweight title from Islam Makhachev, featherweight king Alexander Volkanovski returns to the featherweight fold at UFC 298 on February 17 in Anaheim, California to defend his throne against the challenge posed by the unbeaten Ilia Topuria.

It is to be Volkanovski’s first featherweight bout since a three-round shellacking of title challenger Yair Rodriguez last July; a fight the Australian dominated essentially from start to the TKO finish he secured with around 40 seconds remaining in the third round.
