If Amanda Nunes is thinking about ending her retirement from the Octagon, Dana White is keen to have a conversation.

Nunes, the former simultaneous two-division UFC champion, now 36, announced that she was hanging up her 4oz gloves in June of last year following a successful title defence of her 135-pound title against Irena Aldana — a decision which appeared to have nixed potential plans over a rubber match with Julianna Pena, the only woman to hold a victory over Nunes in the past decade.

The Brazilian would later avenge the loss to Pena by unanimous decision before vacating the title upon her retirement, much to the chagrin of Pena who had been campaigning for a third bout with Nunes.

But with Pena now the champion once again following a close decision win over the now former champ Raquel Pennington at last weekend’s UFC 307, Nunes appeared to open the door to a return by issuing a message to Dana White on social media imploring the UFC boss to ‘call her.’

“She looks great. It looks like she’s still in shape. You know where her head is at and I love that about her,” said White to reporters, including The Mac Life, in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

“There are a lot of things I love about her — and I love that about her. She’s keeping an eye on who wins the title next and I think she’s teasing that she might be interested in coming back.”

He added: “I love Amanda Nunes. I have an incredible relationship with her. I would absolutely love to see her come back.”
