Conor McGregor’s return to competitive action is drawing nearer.

While no date has yet been confirmed for his comeback to the Octagon (despite both McGregor and his head coach John Kavanagh calling for it sooner rather than later), McGregor has returned to the training room weeks out from sustaining a foot injury that temporarily delayed a proposed bout with former Bellator world champion Michael Chandler.

In footage posted to social media, which you can see below, McGregor can be seen working on the mats with a training partner — first showing the Irishman working on his Greco-Roman and clinch game (with few knees down the pipe for good measure). The second portion of the clip shows McGregor in boxing range, fending off takedown attempts — and in the third, well, you’ll see McGregor find a home for that powerful left hand of his.
