Saturday’s UFC 305 main event has long had some extra intrigue attached to it after Israel Adesanya and Dricus du Plessis came face-to-face in the cage following the South African’s title win against Sean Strickland earlier this year.

The title bout, the first between two African-born fighters in UFC history, will settle some scores by the time the final bell rings in Perth, Australia this weekend — and the antipathy that exists between both men was clear when the crossed paths at Friday’s pre-fight presser Down Under.

“Bro, shut the f*ck up. You don’t even know anything about my story. You have no idea who the f*ck I am,” Adesanya bellowed to his opponent after Du Plessis asked if he was going to bring his ‘servants’ to Africa next week ahead of planned trips to Nigeria and South Africa.

“Listen, my father and myself had to wake up at 4 am and clean the banks while my mom studies to be a nurse,” he added. “You don’t know my f*cking story. Don’t f*cking speak on my story if you don’t know my story. I will show you who you are Sunday, so right now shut the f*ck up.”
