Earlier this month amid all the festivities of the UFC’s return to Madison Square Garden for UFC 217, EA revealed that Conor McGregor was to be the cover athlete for their upcoming UFC 3 video game due for release next year.
The first extended gameplay video from the title, which features 10 minutes of McGregor battling Nate Diaz and Paul Felder, has hit the web via the MMA Game YouTube channel. Watch it below.
Among the several improvements to the franchise is a refocus on the striking element of the game. In past iterations striking appeared mechanical, meaning that players couldn’t throw punches on the move. This time around players can move and strike simultaneously, which makes for a wholly immersive MMA experience.
EA UFC 3 is due for release on PS4 and Xbox One on February 2nd next.
