For the first time in nearly a decade, Jimmie Rivera felt what its like to be on the losing end of a mixed martial arts bout. At UFC Utica, it was Marlon Moraes who did the honours.

As the pair met in the centre of the cage — after both refusing to touch gloves — Moraes landed a huge head kick to his opponent in 33 seconds, sending Rivera crashing to the canvas. A couple of follow up punches brought the contest to a close.

The win will push Moraes up the bantamweight rankings, with talks of a title shot surely not far away — something the man himself called for in his post-fight interview.
