One of the most interesting things to observe as a fan of mixed martial arts, is watching a fighter watching a fight.

That interest particularly ups when it’s a fighter watching a fierce rival, or a fellow athlete that they’re due to compete against. Such is the case with Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson, who sat ringside at UFC 192 to watch Daniel Cormier defend his newly won (against Johnson no less) light heavyweight championship against Alexander Gustafsson.

The fight, which turned out to be a five round back and forth war, had Johnson on the edge of his seat as he eventually saw Cormier get his hand raised. Not that he was fazed.

“In a way, I thought it was gonna go to Gus,” Johnson said. “I plan on fighting both of them again though, that’s for damn sure.”
