Holly Holm might have been known as the one with head kicks going into UFC 239, but it’s Amanda Nunes who leaves Las Vegas as the one with a highlight reel knockout on her record.
In the first round, it began as a tactical contest, with Holm looking for the oblique kicks while Nunes searched for an overhand right to counter. Then, suddenly, as the round entered into its final minute, Nunes landed a stunning head kick that dropped Holm to the canvas. A few punches later were the formality to bring an end to proceedings.
