Following on from Tito Ortiz’s cryptic tweet in which he said that he had signed a brand new bout agreement, it has been confirmed that Ortiz will take on fellow former UFC champion Anderson Silva in a boxing match to take place on the undercard of the Oscar De La Hoya vs. Vitor Belfort boxing match scheduled for September 11.

As per a report from MMA Fighting, the fight is expected to take place at a catchweight of 195-pounds. The news comes days after Ortiz had publicly linked himself to a fight with YouTuber Logan Paul, who boxed Floyd Mayweather this summer in an exhibition bout.

Silva, meanwhile, will return to the boxing ring for the second time in a matter of months after he defeated former boxing world champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a bout in Mexico this past June. Silva was awarded a split decision in the fight despite most observers maintaining that the former UFC middleweight champion had dominated much of the fight.

The Triller Fight Club card is scheduled to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
