Conor McGregor has indicated he is close to returning to competition after posting a message on social media suggesting an agreement has been reached for his return to the cage.
The former two-division UFC champion has been in discussions with the promotion for several months regarding a comeback bout, with negotiations reportedly progressing amid changes to the organisation’s broadcast and pay structure following a new long-term deal with Paramount.
“The rumours are true!” McGregor wrote on Instagram. “Mr. Confidence returns to save fighting again! Call your grandma! Nanny we did it! Watch and pay me. F*ck you pay me.
He added: “Hey Paramount Plus, see you guys soon. I’m so excited! And born ready!”
McGregor referenced his anticipated involvement with Paramount+, where his next fight is expected to be broadcast, while signalling enthusiasm about returning to the UFC after prolonged negotiations over financial terms.
The promotion is expected to finalise its upcoming schedule this week, with a major event targeted for 11 July at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas during International Fight Week, a date widely viewed as a potential return platform for McGregor.
McGregor has not competed since suffering a leg injury 2021, and while no official bout has been confirmed, his latest comments have intensified speculation that his return to the octagon is imminent.
