The UFC is stacking the deck ahead of Conor McGregor’s return to the Octagon this summer.

It was confirmed earlier this month that former two-division champion McGregor will face Michael Chandler in a UFC 303 main event which will serve as the climax of the organisation’s annual International Fight Week event in Las Vegas on June 29, and ahead of what is expected to be one of the most-watched combat sports cards of the year the UFC have announced a further seven fights that will serve as backup to the main event.

In what is currently the co-main, Jamahal Hill will look to get back in the win column after his UFC 300 loss at the hands of Alex Pereira when he takes on Khalil Rountree Jr., winner of five straight fights (four of those by knockout). Elsewhere, featherweight veteran Cub Swanson will fight Team Alpha Male’s Andre Fili while middleweight slugger Joe Pyfer fights the dangerous Canadian Marc-Andre Barriault.

Ian Machado Garry, meanwhile, has been campaigning to fight Colby Covington on the UFC 303 card but so far there is no firm indication that the bout will be confirmed for the event.

The UFC 303 fight card as it stands is:

  • Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler (welterweight)
  • Jamahal Hill vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. (light heavyweight)
  • Mayra Bueno Silva vs. Macy Chiasson (women’s bantamweight)
  • Cub Swanson vs. Andre Fili (featherweight)
  • Joe Pyfer vs. Marc-Andre Barriault (middleweight)
  • Michelle Waterson-Gomez vs. Gillian Robertson (women’s strawweight)
