Joanna Jedrzejczyk put on a dominant performance akin to those she made in her championship reign to defeat Michelle Waterson and likely cement herself as a number one contender to Weili Zhang’s title in Tampa, Florida.

Jedrzejczyk won every round on two judges scorecards, and four on the third to make it a unanimous decision win. In reality, she never faced much damage short of a last ditch rear-naked choke attempt from Waterson in the third.

“Guys, I said before that it was going to be my party, I danced really hard and I feel like I could do five more rounds. I fought with a broken foot since the end of the second round, beginning of the third, it was hard, but thank you for coming,” Jedrzejczyk said post-fight.

“It is an honor to headline the show here in Tampa, I moved to Florida three years ago. My country is Poland, but Florida is my second house. Big thanks to God, my family and my friends. Let’s go baby, let’s fight for the belt. I expected that she was going to clinch more, but I was ready. I feel like my grappling, my wrestling is improving every day. It’s an honor to train at ATT, more and more great athletes coming down to Coconut Creek.

“She surprised me, she’s such a warrior, but I knew that she was going to be in the best shape ever. Who is the real queen? Bow down, bow down, I’m the real queen. Dana, I’m calling you in a minute. It’s an honor, big thanks to my parents, I know my dad is watching. I love you mom, I love you dad.”
