Belfast native Karl Moore will look to add the Cage Warriors heavyweight title to the light heavyweight strap he won earlier this year when he takes on Italy’s Mauro Cerilli on November 25th in Antwerp, Belgium.
If successful, Moore would become the first fighter since Conor McGregor to hold titles in two weight classes simultaneously in Cage Warriors. McGregor won the promotion’s featherweight and lightweight titles in his final two bouts under the CW banner before signing with the UFC and it is likely that Moore would follow a similar career trajectory if he proves successful in Belgium.
The card will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.
Last March, Moore claimed the vacant Cage Warriors 205-pound title which had previously been held by Michael Bisping in a decision victory against American veteran Josh Clark in Dublin. Many suspected that the talented Northern Irishman would receive a call from the UFC in the wake of his title-winning fight but with that move yet to be made, Moore will look to force their hand with a dominant title victory in November.
Moore recently spent time in Sacramento sharpening his tools at Team Alpha Male and will look to build on that experience with another solid showing next month.
