We are but a couple of negative Covid-19 tests away from one of the year’s most anticipated fights as both Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal successfully made weight in Abu Dhabi ahead of Saturday’s UFC 251 headliner on ‘Fight Island’ in Abu Dhabi.

All that remains for the bout to be made official is for both fighters to pass a coronavirus test which was administered on Friday. Both fighters have successfully been medically cleared following a battery of tests already this week.

‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ and reigning welterweight champion Usman was the first of the two to his the scales, as he did while decked out in a medical mask shortly after the weigh-in window opened to register an official weight of 170-pounds on the scale.

Masvidal followed an hour after the weigh-in window opened where he also weighed in at the welterweight title limit.
