Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone is not a fan of Andrew Tate.

Tate, the social media ‘influencer’ who has generated untold wealth by pushing a platform misogyny aimed at wringing money from a generation of naive young men, is one of the most controversial characters in modern media. But despite it looking more and more likely that Tate is set to face some serious prison time after being hit with a range of human trafficking and similarly associated crimes, UFC Hall of Famer Cerrone wants to get his hands on him.

“Back in the day when me and Joe Schilling used to watch videos of you [Tate] to try and want to fight you,” Cowboy said of Tate, a former kickboxer, in a video posted to social media.

“You always ran like a little girl your entire career. Are you kidding me? I’m [going to] knock the s—t out of you. I’m a real fighter. You’re a fake bullsh*t wannabe fighter who made up a bunch of world championship belts that you bought off eBay.”

Tate responded: “As for Cerrone, I’ve heard of him. Didn’t McGregor finish him pretty quick? If he thinks I can’t fight, then if he wants to tell me to my face and kick my ass, he’s welcome to try. I strongly believe he will regret that decision and that’s as far as I need to take it.”

That’s the ‘why’ but how about the ‘when’? Cerrone says he wants the fight to take place on the undercard of the proposed Mark Zuckerberg vs. Elon Musk showdown — much of which is a sentence that we couldn’t have imagined writing even just a few months ago. But hey, combat sports in 2023, right?
