Conor McGregor has been involved in some of the most lucrative bouts in combat sports but as two of the current biggest box office draws prepare for what is expecting to be a money-spinning affair, the Irishman says he is unsure of what to make of it.

Social media star turned boxer Paul will take on world champion-level fighter Gervonta Davis in an exhibition bout on November 14; a fight which comes about despite a large size disparity between the two fighters — with Paul standing at 6ft 1in and Davis as 5ft 5in, and both usually competing at 200-pounds and 135-pounds respectively.

And McGregor, who faced Floyd Mayweather in his professional boxing debut back in 2017, said that despite the intrigue that the fight is expected to generate, he isn’t overly-interested in the exhibition.

“I don’t know what to make of it, to be honest,” said McGregor when questioned on the contest by DAZN Boxing. “Somewhat similar to the Tyson [versus Jake Paul] bout. I’m indifferent to it. Be curious to see … I’m not invested in it.

“I’ll watch on X,” he added with a laugh. “I’ll watch the highlights on X.”

The Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis match will be held under an exhibition ruleset, meaning the result will not count toward either fighter’s professional record. It will be fought over 10 rounds of three minutes each, with a maximum weight limit of 195 pounds at catchweight, and both fighters will use 12-ounce gloves.

The bout takes place on November 14, 2025, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
