Conor McGregor has paid tribute to his longtime friend and training partner Artem Lobov following the Russian Hammer’s bareknuckle rematch with Jason Knight.
Lobov came up short in the Biloxi contest last night, with his corner calling the contest in the final round of the main event. Following the bout, McGregor took to his social media to applaud both men’s effort, and praise Lobov for being at his side throughout his own journey.
“Artem Lobov! What a warrior,” McGregor wrote. “What a journey this has been mate. What a journey this is! You blow me away bro, from the world tours to the ultimate fighter to this! You deserve the world and more my brother! Congrats on another amazing fight! What a story!
Brothers for life mate. Congrats to Jason Knight. Amazing warrior. Great fight.”
Knight and Lobov are now one a piece in Bareknuckle FC, and while it’s yet to be made official, it seems a rubber match would make plenty of sense for both men and the promotion
