Fresh from putting a declarative statement on a feud with former world champion Paulie Malignaggi, Artem Lobov will next return for a second chapter with old foe Jason Knight at BKFC 9 on November 16.

Lobov and Knight shared the ring with each other for 10 minutes in their classic April 6th contest, described by some as the ‘most important’ bare knuckle boxing contest in more than a century. It was a deeply punishing contest with both men displaying several battle scars after their five sets of two-minute rounds, with Knight also spectacularly spitting his own teeth to the canvas after an exchange with ‘The Russian Hammer’.

Their second fight will also be contested in the featherweight division and will also comprise of five sets of two-minute rounds.

Lobov, who remains an active mixed martial artists, is undefeated in his two outings in the BKFC ring and has assumed the mantle as the upstart fight promotion’s biggest star and number one draw. The second fight with Knight will likely have additional fanfare behind it, owing to Lobov’s increase in profile since defeating Malignaggi — as well as the ‘viral’ nature of their first fight.

Knight has not competed since that April 6 bout as he was forced out of a July clash with fellow ex-UFC fighter Leonard Garcia.
