It’s confirmed. Georges St-Pierre, one of the biggest stars in mixed martial arts history, is back.
The former welterweight champion has officially resigned with the UFC after a long and drawn out negotiation process, the LA Times reported today.

The announcement comes at a much needed time for the UFC. Coming off the most successful year in its history, the UFC has looked to be lacking a certain amount of star power in the first half of 2017.
With St-Pierre’s return, one of the biggest pay-per-view draws in history has returned.
While its unknown who St-Pierre will face on his return, a rumoured bout against middleweight champion Michael Bisping could be a possibility.
It’s known that St-Pierre and the Brit have an interest in that fight, and a return to a new division for the French-Canadian could add another facet to an already intriguing comeback.
