Conor McGregor wants to get his hands (or knuckles, more specifically) dirty after witnessing the biggest night in BKFC history last weekend.
McGregor, co-owner of the bare-knuckle fight league since last year, was on hand for the promotion’s Knucklemania V event in Philadelphia late on Saturday night, the main event of which saw hometown fighter (and former McGregor opponent) Eddie Alvarez defeated by another former UFC vet Jeremy Stephens.
But after entering the ring soon afterwards where he participated in a face-to-face with Stephens, McGregor wants to be the next man up to take on the victor.
“As I was walking out of the arena, Conor actually tapped me on the shoulder and told me to make sure that I tell everybody that he’s fighting Jeremy Stephens in BKFC,” Feldman told the media, including The Mac Life, post-fight in Philly.
“That’s what he said. I don’t know if it’s happening, but Conor McGregor told me he’s fighting Jeremy Stephens in bare-knuckle.”
Speaking ahead of the event, McGregor told a media member that it is inevitable that he will one day throw down in the BKFC ring.
“One of these days, you’ll just hear my music come onto this stage in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, and I’ll have my fist wrapped with no gloves for a fight, out of nowhere,” he said.
“No promotion. No promo. No nothing. Just fighting a random fight on the card. That could be what the future holds.”
